Are you an Indonesian looking to learn more about freediving, and potentially looking to start a new career? Our Indonesian scholarship programs is aimed at providing training and support for Indonesian citizens to upskill as well as gain experience in the freediving tourism industry.
What we are looking for in a scholarship candidate:
We want to support Indonesians in getting involved in the freediving industry. As a relatively new and niche market, freediving has a large potential to open up job markets in different parts of Asia. Skills to become both a good freediver as well as a good freediving instructor can be learned, but it takes patience and dedication. We are excited to provide opportunities for candidates that are motivated to pursue freediving as a career.
Pre-requisites:
Indonesian Citizen
Comfortable English, and an eagerness to learn and practice
A curiosity to learn more about freediving, from assisting to teaching.
Work ethic. We get busy, and we need candidates who are reliable, hard-working, and are willing to put in extra to ensure guests have an exceptional experience.
Experience in yoga, meditation and mindfulness practices are a bonus, but not necessary. But a willingness to learn these practices is important.
What will be provided for the right candidate:
In exchange for a solid work ethic and a willingness to learn and be a part of the team, we will provide:
Freedive training and certifications for the duration of the agreed upon commitment.
Opportunities to assist with courses with instructors, learning how to teach.
Opportunities to lead recreational freediving programs with already certified divers, and a compensation that would come along with that.
Support to continue on in becoming a freediver instructor.
The opportunity to expand your skills to conservation freediving, underwater photography, retreat operations, and scuba diving (if you wish).
